About Group Mailboxes in CareConnect Inbox
A Group Mailbox is an inbox that delivers messages to multiple users so that they can all manage the same incoming messages. These Group Inboxes are created from the Group Mailboxes tab.
Replying to or sending messages from a Group Inbox means that all users have access to incoming and outgoing messages sent to/from the group. Message recipients will receive messages from the group address and not the user's individual email address. The address will be constructed based on the name of the group @orgname.
A system administrator will need to create the new inbox and add the users to it. A department Direct Address can be associated to a group mailbox.
Note: If the Group Inbox is external facing and sends CCDs and messages to external providers, it will require a direct mail address. Request a direct mail address through your Netsmart Project Manager.
