Item Definition Section

Define the components that will be available in the treatment plan library.

  1. In the Select Item Type field, choose the type of item to work with.
  • Goals, Objectives, Interventions:
    Define the default text for goals, objectives, interventions, and objectives that will populate for that item when it is selected in the Treatment Plan form (Treatment Plan Tree View).
  • Problems:
    Associate problems in a user-defined library to any of the following:
    • SNOMED codes. These codes will populate for the problem when that problem is selected in the Treatment Plan form (Treatment Plan Tree View). 
    • Diagnosis codes (DSM IV)
  1. To create an item, click Select Item.
  2. In the Selections screen for the item, select Add New and then Return.
  3. To edit an item, choose Select Item, then pick the item description and Return.
  4. In the Item Name field, enter the name.
    Note: The Item Name must be unique.
  5. In the Item Description field, enter the text that will appear in the notes field on the treatment plan.
  6. If Problem was selected in the Select Item Type field, the fields in the Problem Setup sub-section will be enabled. 
  7. In the Problem Functional Group field, select the group from the dropdown menu. 
  8. In the Associated Diagnosis (DSM IV) field, select an associated diagnosis from the dropdown menu. 
  9. In the SNOMED field, search for the the SNOMED code by name or code, click the search icon, and select the applicable code. 
  10. If Intervention was selected in the Select Item Type field, the fields in the Intervention setup sub-section will be enabled. 
  11. In the Is this an education? field, select Yes or No. 
  12. In the Default Practitioner Categories Responsible field, select the applicable categories. 
  13. In the Practitioner Categories Available field, select the applicable categories. 
  14. In the Default Task Frequency field, select the task frequency you would like to default in the Treatment Plan Library. 
  15. Select Setup Links to manage connections between items within a library, and from library to library.
    The Linking Information screen displays. Select the item to link to other items. Check off the item above an item to establish a parent-child relationship.
    It is not recommended to link items more than one tier above an item.
  16. Select Linking Information to view how problems, goals, interventions, and objectives have been linked together in the library.
    When items are linked they display below the item they are linked to.
  17. Select File to file the library.
  18. Select Delete to delete an item.
    All links that contain this item will be deleted. The items themselves are not deleted.
