CCD Scheduling Definition

Define a CCD file generation and transmission schedule, as well as whether or not to send CCD files on an inpatient discharge.

This form allows you to define the event, along with the data content that will be included, for either an Office Visit Summary or a Hospital Discharge Summary. Once the definition is filed, it will be available within the System Task Scheduler for selection to define a scheduled task.

CCD scheduling events can be used for ONC/MU 2015 requirements.

Prerequisites

  • This form is added by CWS 2017 Update 42.
  • PM 2017 Update 115
  • Cal-PM 2017 Update 5

Create a New CCD Scheduling Definition

  1. Go to: Avatar CWS > Clinical Information Exchange > CCD Scheduling Definition
  2. In the Existing Task field, select an existing record to edit or add a New Definition.
  3. In the Client/Program field, select whether to create a definition for a Client, a set of Programs, or All.
    • If Client, search for and select the specific client in the Client field.
    • If Program, select which programs from the Programs field.
  4. In the Purpose field, select the purpose. The Content field will automatically select the related sections.
  5. In the Content field, select the specific portions of the CCD to include.
  6. Click Submit.

Discharge Summary

If creating a Client or All definition with the Purpose of Hospital Discharge Summary, the following is enabled:

  • Send on Inpatient Discharge
    Select whether or not to send the CCD files automatically upon an inpatient discharge.
    • If Yes, select the referral and HIE providers to receive the files in the Receiving Provider field.
    • If No, the system will create an entry in the System Task Scheduler to allow for further configuration.

Delete

To delete a scheduling definition record:

  1. Select the record in the Existing Task field.
  2. Click Delete CCD Task.
