About Consoles
Consoles (or Console Views) are a way to customize the configuration of your myAvatar home view. These can be accessed using a toggle button at the top of the myAvatar screen. Select a client, and the user can view all client episodes or an individual client episode.
Console Views are a convenient way to support using the golden thread in myAvatar.
The Console widget supports viewing records for a form. This information displays for a client selected in the Client & Staff widget.
Displaying Data
- The newest client records display on top. Clicking a column header will change the sort for that column.
- If the associated form has a pre-display, this information display in a column. You can change the column display, to display all episodes, or a selected episode.
- If a system is configured for sub system codes, all episode-based widgets will display episodes for programs in that sub-system code.
Opening Records
- Double-click a row to open the associated form. This bypasses a client lookup, and any episode pre-displays for that form.
Multiple Form Display
- You can define console widgets to display data from multiple forms. These records will display with the form name in the widget.
- You can create a new record in the widget. When creating a new record, you will select which form to create a new record for.
User Access
- After installation, a system administrator must grant user or user role access to the Console Widget Configuration form, for each namespace.
- This is done in the User Definition, and User Role Definition forms.
Console Widget Configuration
- The Console Widget Configuration form allow you to create console widgets. The Console Widget Configuration form will be available for each myAvatar solution (Avatar PM, CWS, MSO and CFMS).
- All client-based product, and user-defined forms (that contain a pre-display) will be available for selection, when a console widget is created.
Importing and Exporting Consoles
- Consoles can be moved from one system to another (e.g. from Build to LIVE). Use the Widget Export and Widget Import forms first to move the desired widgets before exporting the views using the View Import/Export form.
