Display clients who have appointments scheduled for the day. Clinic appointments with a defined client and service code are also included.

Prerequisites:

  • An appointment must be scheduled for a practitioner associated with the user.
  • The user must have site access through the Site Schedules Users Can Modify field on the User Definition form (Appointment Scheduling section).
  • Your user security level must be equal to or higher than the posting code security level in order for the payment code to be included in the drop down for Check-In/Check-Out functions.
  1. The widget populates with appointment data for the current date. To filter by location, select the facility name in the Site field.
  2. Appointments are listed by appointment time. If you have appointments that occur at the same time, use the Sort field to choose whether simultaneous appointments should be listed by First Name, Last Name, or by the Appointment Creation Date/Time.
    (This setting requires Middleware update 1676-30-FEB.jar.)
  3. Click the status button to change the client's appointment status.
    Each click changes the status:
    • Not Present
    • Currently Checked In
    • Currently In Treatment
    • Checked Out
  4. Select a row to display the client's information.
    If appropriate, enter a note associated with the appointment.
    Click a link to open a form associated with the client:
    • Managed Care Authorizations - displays the Authorization and Eligibility report.
    • Address & Contact - opens the Update Client Data form.
    • Chart - opens the client's Chart View.
  5. In the Select Payment Type field, select the type of client payment.
  6. The client must be checked in, or checked out.
  7. If Payment - Other is selected, a payment code must be entered in the Pre Payment Service Code registry setting.
  8. In the $ field, enter the payment amount.
  9. In the # field, enter the check number (if appropriate).
  10. Select Receipt to generate a receipt for this payment. Leave this unchecked to process without a receipt.
  11. Receipts must set up in the Posting/Adjustment Codes Definition form (Generate Receipt field).
  12. Click Paid.
