Verify Staff Member Appointments

Document that a staff member's Staff Unposted Appointment List information was checked for accuracy.

Best practice for posting services that have been scheduled (but do not require a progress note to be written) is to verify the appointment start and end times and then post the appointment so that it converts to a service on the client ledger. The reason you would verify staff member appointments is to ensure they happened as reflected in the Scheduling Calendar. This way, the person posting the services can verify that they were delivered. You might need to use this posting method in a workflow where an appointment for a service is not required to be tied to a Progress Note. 

Prerequisites:


  1. Go to: Avatar PM > Appointment Scheduling > Verify Staff Member Appointments
  2. Enter the Staff Name or ID# and click Search.
  3. Select the staff member from the Staff Search Results. Click Select.
  4. The Verify Staff Member Appointments dialog box opens.
  5. In the Staff Member Appointment Verification Date field, enter the date of the schedule verification.
    A date range can be used instead, by enabling the Enable Date Range registry setting.
  6. Select the appropriate Site from the drop-down list.
  7. Click Submit. After submission, verified appointments will no longer allow editing.
    The Appointments field is display-only and lists the currently scheduled appointments for the selected site. This information can also be displayed and printed in the Staff Unposted Appointment List report form.
