Generate and save patient discharge reports.Prerequisites:

Patients must have an HCO ID defined in the Program Maintenance form in order to compile a file.

Choose any of the following:

Compile

Generate a report of all inpatients discharged within the specified Reporting Period.

Go to: Avatar PM > Client Management > Client Information > NRI HBIPS File Generation
Select Compile.
Enter the time frame for the report using the MM/YYYY format.
Click Process. The generated report consists of:

An error report of patients with missing HBIPS data.
A successfully created records report.

Result: Reports are temporarily saved on the local PC and will be overwritten if a subsequent report uses the same time period.

Create File On Server

Save the generated report to the server in a format that can be submitted to the appropriate agency.

Select Create File On Server.
Select a file from the Select File drop down list.
Click Process. The file is saved to either:

The location specified in the Facility Defaults form
or
The Root of the namespace if a location is not specified in the Facility Defaults form.

Dump File

Generate the same text file as the Create File On Server command and display it, but do not save the report.

Select Dump File.
Select a file from the Select File drop down list.
Click Process. The file displays after the Process is complete.

Delete

Delete a file selected in the Select File drop down list.

Run Report

Generate a report for any file listed in the Select File drop down list.

Reporting Period

Enter the date for the reporting period in the MM/YYYY format.
