Adjustments By Program Section - PM

Enter PPS rate and adjustment information, by program.

  1. The Adjustments By Program field displays program adjustment factors.

  2. In the Program(s) field, select any of the listed programs. Inactive programs are also listed.

  3. In the TEFRA Rate field, enter the rate.

  4. In the Rural Adjustment field, enter the rural adjustment.

  5. In the Wage Index Adjustment field, enter the wage index adjustment.

  6. In the Emergency Department field:

  • Select Yes if the program selected has a full-service emergency department. The value entered in the Day 1 – Facility With A 24/7 Full-Service Emergency Department is used as an adjustment factor.

  • Otherwise, choose No. If No is chosen, the value entered in the Day 1 – Facility Without A 24/7 Full-Service Emergency Department is used.

  1. Click the Add To The Program Adjustments List button to add the program and adjustment factors to the Adjustments By Program list. Programs and adjustment factors are not filed until the PPS Rate/Adjustment is submitted.

  2. In the Select A Program To Remove From The List field, select a program to remove from the Adjustments By Program list.

  3. Click the Remove From The Program Adjustments List button to remove the selected program and adjustment factor from the list. Programs and adjustment factors are not filed until the PPS Rate/Adjustment is submitted.
