Sex - Cal-PM SOGI Enhancement
As part of the SOGI Enhancements, the California User Group (CAUG) requested updates for how to capture a client’s Sex with a specific request to inactivate the options:

This allows organizations the ability to more accurately collect Sex as either Sex assigned at birth or legal Sex definitions.

Women’s Health History
The Women’s Health History form and the Client Pregnancy section within Cost Reporting Data Maintenance have been updated to only validate and allow for an entry if the Client Sex is Female. Prior to installing this product update, the Client Sex of Transgender Female to Male would also allow entries into these forms.
Conversion
Upon installation of Avatar Cal-PM 2022 Update 80, a conversion of existing demographic data will occur. The purpose of this conversion was to leverage existing information to populate the Sex field if the previously selected code was inactivated.
- If client’s Sex field was set to Transgender (M to F) (MTF) prior to this update installation, the Sex field will be populated to Male (M).
- If client’s Sex field was set to Transgender (F to M) (FTM) prior to this update installation, the Sex field will be populated to Female (F).
