Note - These testing guidelines assume the user is skilled in the use of, at a minimum, the following:

Scenario 1: Unassigned Dosing - Validating Handing Out Doses Assigns A Facility And Program To The Dose
Specific Setup:
  • At least one facility that allows dispensing is configured.
  • The Unassigned Doses feature is configured and enabled.
  • Unassigned Doses exist that have the same amount as the client medication order that will be used.
  • At least one client that has an amount on the medication order that matches the Unassigned Dose amount.
Steps
  1. Navigate to "Taskbar > Attendance Check In/Out > Check In/Out > Front Desk NX".
  2. Click the "Dispensing" button.
  3. Validate the "Facility" value on the upper right side of the page.
  4. Validate the Unassigned Dose exists for the amount the client will receive
  5. Validate the access code is available.
  6. Select the client to be used.
  7. Click the dispense button for the client.
  8. Validate the Unassigned Dose dialog displays.
  9. Enter the code for the dose to be given.
  10. Validate the record is updated to indicate the dose is "Taken".
  11. Exit out of the Dispensing Screen.
  12. Navigate to "Client > Client Information > Health Information > myAM Dosing History".
  13. Select the client that was dispensed to in the precondition.
  14. Select the row that has the proper "Medication", "Dose Date" and "Date/Time Administered".
  15. Validate the "Program Providing Service" matches the program the client is enrolled in.
  16. Validate the "Facility Providing Service" matches the facility that appeared on the "Dispensing Screen".
Scenario 2: Unassigned Dosing - Validating Handing Out Doses Assigns The Facility And Program Of Where The Dose Was Dispensed - Dispensing At Alternative Facilities
Specific Setup:
  • At least two facilities exist that can dispense medications.
  • The first facility will be the facility the client belongs to. This will be called "Homefacility" in this example.
  • The second facility will be the facility the client does not belong to. This will be called the "Guestfacility" for this example.
  • The workstation being used will be configured for the "Guestfacility".
  • The job title of the staff is configured to allow dosing at other facilities.
  • The Unassigned Doses feature is configured and enabled.
  • Unassigned Doses exist that have the same amount as the client medication order that will be used.
  • At least one client that has an amount on the medication order that matches the Unassigned Dose amount.
Steps
  1. Navigate to "Taskbar > Attendance Check In/Out > Check In/Out > Front Desk NX".
  2. Click the "Dispensing" button.
  3. Validate the "Facility" value on the upper right side of the page indicates it is the "Guestfacility".
  4. Mount the inventory that is needed.
  5. Validate the Unassigned Dose exists for the amount the client will receive.
  6. Validate the access code is available.
  7. Select the client to be used.
  8. Validate the client is found and there is an icon on the left that looks like a suitcase.
  9. Click the dispense button for the client.
  10. Validate the Unassigned Dose dialog displays.
  11. Enter the code for the dose to be given.
  12. Validate the record is updated to indicate the dose is "Taken".
  13. Exit out of the Dispensing Screen.
  14. Navigate to "Client > Client Information > Health Information > myAM Dosing History".
  15. Select the client that was dispensed to in the precondition.
  16. Select the row that has the proper "Medication", "Dose Date" and "Date/Time Administered".
  17. Validate the "Program Providing Service" matches the program the client is enrolled in.
  18. Validate the "Facility Providing Service" matches the facility that appeared on the "Dispensing Screen".
Scenario 3: Opioid Treatment Program Billing - Validate Unassigned Doses That Are Handed Out Generate Claims
Specific Setup:
  • OTP Medicare Payer has been configured with Dispensation.
  • A client exists that was handed out "Unassigned Doses" for the previous week.
  • Medication associated with Rate has been dispensed for Clinic and Take Home doses.
  • Qualifying Service Events have been performed.
Steps
  1. Navigate to "Finance > Claim/Invoice Processing > Batch Listing > Billing Batches Management".
  2. Click "New Run" and "Start New Billing Run".
  3. Select "Submitter" associated with "Payer" from preconditions.
  4. Set "Run Description" and set "From Date" to the prior Monday.
  5. Set "Through Date" to the prior Sunday.
  6. Check "Receiver" and click "Proceed".
  7. Select the client that had an Unassigned Dose handed to them.
  8. Upon completion of "Billing Execution Interval",
  9. Validate the claims are generated for that client.
  10. Validate the claim amount contains the correct rate amount.

Scenario 1: Multi Facility Dispensing - Validate Clients That Are Guests Display One Time When Searched
Specific Setup:
  • There will be two facilities.
  • Facility 1 will be the "Home Facility", Facility 2 will be the "Guest Facility".
  • Both facilities are configured to allow clients to be dispensed from the other facility.
  • The user is logged into Facility 1, the "Home" facility.
  • Two clients will exist.
  • Client 1 will be in Facility 1. This will be the "Home Client".
  • Client 2 will be in Facility 2. This client will be the "Guest Client".
Steps
  1. Navigate to "Taskbar > Attendance Check In/Out > Check In/Out > Front Desk NX".
  2. Click "Dispense".
  3. Validate the facility name on the upper right of the dispensing screen matches Facility 1, the home facility.
  4. Search for Client 1, the home client.
  5. Validate the client displays one time in the search results.
  6. Search for Client 2, the guest client.
  7. Validate Client 2 displays one time and there is a suitcase icon next to the name.
  8. Exit the dispensing screen.
  9. Transfer Client 1, the home client, to Facility 2, the guest facility. This will make him a guest client.
  10. Redo the client search.
  11. Validate Client 1, the new guest client, displays one time.
  12. Validate the suitcase icon displays next to the name.
  13. Transfer Client 1 back to Facility 1, the home facility.
  14. Redo the search.
  15. Validate Client 1 shows one time.
  16. Validate there is no suitcase icon next to the name.
Scenario 2: Dispensing - Validate Clients Listed in Medication Dispensing
Specific Setup:
  • Desired facility is selected to user's machine in Turnstiles Setup.
  • Client must be enrolled into two programs.
  • Make sure one of the programs is a dispense program.
  • Navigate to "Setup > Security/Access > Job Titles > Job Titles".
  • Select currently used job title
  • Enable the "Can dose clients from visiting facilities in dispense screen?" option.
Steps
  1. Navigate to "Client > Client Information > Critical Information > Enrollment Information".
  2. Click "Select Client".
  3. Click "New"
  4. Select "Intake - New" from the drop down list.
  5. Fill out required fields.
  6. Click "Finish".
  7. Click the "Display Menu of Actions" button.
  8. Select "New Program Enrollment" from the drop down list.
  9. Fill out required fields.
  10. Click "Save".
  11. Navigate to "Agency > Service Locations > Sites/Residentials > General Information".
  12. Click "Select a Facility".
  13. Search and select desired facility.
  14. Click "Medication/Dispense Settings" tab.
  15. Uncheck the "Client from other facilities can be dispensed at this facility?" checkbox.
  16. Click "Save".
  17. Navigate to "Client > Client Information > Health Information > Medications".

Specific Setup:
  • Three facilities will be used.
  • Will be known as "Facility A", "Facility B" and "Facility C".
  • Client needs to be enrolled in a dispense program in "Facility A" and create a "Medication Order".
  • A "Medication Order" needs to be created in order to create a "Multi-Day Exception Order".
  • A "Medication Order" needs to be created in "Facility A" that will be expired once the client transfers to "Facility B".
  • Client needs to have a medication order previously created and dispensed.
  • Be sure "Clients from other facilities can be dispensed at this facility" checkbox is unchecked for "Facility A".
Steps
  1. Navigate to "Agency Setup > Other Setups > Turnstiles > Turnstiles Setup".
  2. Click currently used "Workstation" cell.
  3. Set the "Facility Look-Up Table" field to "Facility A".
  4. Click "Save".
  5. Navigate to "Client > Client Information > Health Information > Medications".
  6. Click "Select Client".
  7. Search and select desired client.
  8. Click "Add New".
  9. Select "Add Event" from the drop down list.
  10. Select "Multi-Day Exception Order" from the drop down list.
  11. Fill out required fields.
  12. Click "Save".

  8. Click "Add New".
  9. Select "Add Event" from the drop down list.
  10. Select "Medication Order" from the drop down list.
  11. Validate the "Take Home" option is not listed under the daily schedule selection.
  12. Fill out required fields.
  13. Click "Save".
  14. Navigate to "Taskbar > Attendance Check In/Out > Check In/Out > Front Desk NX".
  15. Click the "Dispense" button.
  16. In the "Medication Dispensing" form,

  7. Navigate to "Client > Client Information > Health Information > Medications".
  8. Click "Add New".
  9. Select "Add Event" from the drop down list.
  10. Select "Multi-Day Exception Order" from the drop down list.
  11. Select the previously created "Clinic Visit" medication order in the "Original Medication Order Look-Up Table" button.
  12. Validate the previously created clinic visit medication order is listed in the required fields.
  13. Fill out other required fields.
  14. Click "Save".
  15. Navigate to "Taskbar > Attendance Check In/Out > Check In/Out > Front Desk NX".

  11. Validate "Clinic Visit" is listed in the "Order Type" option in the SubForm.
  12. Validate "Take Home" is not listed in the "Order Type" option in the SubForm.
  13. Fill out other required fields.
  14. Click "Save".

Steps
  1. Navigate to "Reports > myAM Reports > Dispensing > Dosing Sheet".
  2. Set the "From Date" and "Through Date" to a value up to "7" days to display the needed information in the setup/permissions.
  3. Click "Preview".
  4. Validate the report runs and displays the data accurately.

Steps
  1. Log into the system with "User1" in "Window1".

  3. Click the "Dispense" button.
