Scenario 1: Multi Facility Dispensing - Validate Clients That Are Guests Display One Time When Searched
Specific Setup:
  • There will be two facilities.
  • Facility 1 will be the "Home Facility", Facility 2 will be the "Guest Facility".
  • Both facilities are configured to allow clients to be dispensed from the other facility.
  • The user is logged into Facility 1, the "Home" facility.
  • Two clients will exist.
  • Client 1 will be in Facility 1. This will be the "Home Client".
  • Client 2 will be in Facility 2. This client will be the "Guest Client".
Steps
  1. Navigate to "Taskbar > Attendance Check In/Out > Check In/Out > Front Desk NX".
  2. Click "Dispense".
  3. Validate the facility name on the upper right of the dispensing screen matches Facility 1, the home facility.
  4. Search for Client 1, the home client.
  5. Validate the client displays one time in the search results.
  6. Search for Client 2, the guest client.
  7. Validate Client 2 displays one time and there is a suitcase icon next to the name.
  8. Exit the dispensing screen.
  9. Transfer Client 1, the home client, to Facility 2, the guest facility. This will make him a guest client.
  10. Redo the client search.
  11. Validate Client 1, the new guest client, displays one time.
  12. Validate the suitcase icon displays next to the name.
  13. Transfer Client 1 back to Facility 1, the home facility.
  14. Redo the search.
  15. Validate Client 1 shows one time.
  16. Validate there is no suitcase icon next to the name.

Scenario 1: Random Events Template - Validate the "Random Events Template" Form Functions
Specific Setup:
  • The user has navigation access to "Agency Setup > Other Setups > Random Events Templates > Random Events Templates".
  • A new Random Events Template will be created.
Steps
  1. Navigate to "Agency Setup > Other Setups > Random Events Templates > Random Events Templates".
  2. Select the "Add New" button.
  3. Select the "Random Events Template".
  4. Fill in fields.
  5. Validate the "Frequency" look up table contains the description "Semiannually" with a code of "6Mon".
  6. Validate "Minimum Days Apart" is only validate for numbers greater than zero.
  7. Validate "Minimum Days Apart" is does not allow alpha characters.
  8. Validate the check boxes function by checking and unchecking them.
  9. Validate single rules can be added.
  10. Validate multiple rules can be added.
  11. Validate menu buttons function.
  12. Validate saving the form saves the rule.
Scenario 2: Random Alerts - Validate Random Alerts Generate - Semiannually Description
Specific Setup:
  • A client will exist that has a medication order.
  • The alert that will be generated will have a frequency of “Semiannually”.
  • The dispensing queue is enabled in the settings.
Steps
  1. Navigate to "Client > Client Information > Critical Information > Random Events".
  2. Select the client to be used.
  3. Create a random event.
  4. Fill the form in.
  5. Validate the "Frequency" look up table contains a description "Semiannually" with a code of "6MON".
  6. Select that option.
  7. Enter a note in that will be easy to find.
  8. Fill in any other fields.
  9. Save the form.
  10. Validate the record created displays on the listing form.
  11. Navigate to "Client > Client Information > Critical Information > Random Alerts/Restrictions".
  12. Validate there are entries for the event created.
  13. Validate the first record generated, starts withing the first six months of the random start date entered.
  14. Create a new event of the above,
  15. Navigate to "Client > Client Information > Critical Information > Random Events".
  16. Add a new Random Event.
  17. Make it identical to the first entry.
  18. Check the check box for "Clear Previously Randomized Events of this Type for this Date Range?".
  19. Change the note l slightly.
  20. Save the form.
  21. Navigate to "Client > Client Information > Critical Information > Random Alerts/Restrictions".
  22. Validate the new records exist.
  23. Validate preexisting entries are grayed out and have a description indicating they were discontinued due to the creation of the new random event.
Scenario 3: Random Event - Frequency "Semiannually" - Validate Adding "Medication Order Template" Generates Events
Specific Setup:
  • A client will exist that needs a new medication order.
  • The medication order will use a medication order template that has been configured to use at least one random event that is "Semiannually".
  • The "Random Events Template" scheduling rules are known.
  • No previous "Random Alerts/Restrictions" exist.
  • The client is in the same program as the template being used.
Steps
  1. Navigate to "Client > Client Information > Health Information > Medications".
  2. Select the client to get the new medication order.
  3. Add a new medication order.
  4. Select the "Medication Template" with the “Semiannually” event.
  5. Fill in any other required fields on the medication order.
  6. Save the medication order.
  7. Navigate to "Client > Client Information > Critical Information > Random Alerts/Restrictions".
  8. Validate the listing displays the event.
  9. Validate the "start date" is randomized withing the six months from the start of the order.
  10. Validate the last record randomized has an end date of the medication order used.

Scenario 1: Medication Item Setup - Film Validate "Number Of Sections" Is User Defined
Specific Setup:
  • Security rights to Add new records to " Medication Item Setup".
  • Security rights to delete records on "Medication Item Setup"
  • No Lots or Containers have been attached to the medication item being deleted.
Steps
  1. Navigate to "Agency > Inventory Management > Inventory Item Setup > Medication Item Setup".
  2. Add a new medication item.
  3. Set the form to a Film.
  4. Validate the "Number of Sections" defaults to "1".
  5. Validate the value is modifiable.
  6. Validate only divisible values for the "Number of Sections" to the "Size" will allow entry.
  7. Save the record.
  8. Edit the record saved.
  9. Delete the record by clicking the "Delete" button.
  10. Validate the record does not display.
Scenario 2: Medication Item Setup - Decimals - Film - Validate "Number Of Sections" Is User Defined
Specific Setup:
  • Security rights to Add new records to " Medication Item Setup".
  • Security rights to delete records on "Medication Item Setup"
  • No Lots or Containers have been attached to the medication item being deleted.
Steps
  1. Navigate to "Agency > Inventory Management > Inventory Item Setup > Medication Item Setup".
  2. Add a new medication item.
  3. Set the form to a Film.
  4. Check the "Decimals Allowed" check box.
  5. Set the "Size" to a decimal value.
  6. Validate the value is modifiable.
  7. Save the record.
  8. Edit the record saved.
  9. Validate the data saved correctly.
  10. Delete the record by clicking the "Delete" button.
  11. Validate the record was deleted.
Scenario 3: Film - Multi Medication Dispensing Using Two Containers - Whole Numbers
Specific Setup:
  • A client exists that can be dispensed values from 20 mg down to 2 mg.
  • An 8 mg Film Container is mounted. This inventory can be split into 2 sections of 4 mg each.
  • A 4 mg Film Container is mounted. This inventory can be split into 2 sections of 2 mg each.
Steps
  1. Navigate to "Taskbar > Attendance Check In/Out > Check In/Out > Front Desk NX".
  2. Select the client to be dispensed.
  3. Dispense the client.
  4. Validate Dispensing Screen indicates the containers the inventory will be removed from.
  5. Validate the containers deduct the correct amounts.
  6. Navigate to "Agency > Inventory Management > Container Management > Container Transactions".
  7. Validate the transactions the dispensing screen displayed appear on the containers used.
Scenario 4: Multi Meds Film - Spill/Destroy Film From 3 Containers
Specific Setup:
  • At least two clients have been dispensed tablets from "3" container sizes.
  • The amounts that were dispensed from the "3" containers are known.
  • The containers are mounted, and the starting amounts are known.
Steps
  1. Navigate to "Taskbar > Attendance Check In/Out > Check In/Out > Front Desk Daily Check In".
  2. Select the first client.
  3. Click the "Spill/Destroy" button.
  4. Spill the dose.
  5. Validate the "Spill" functions.
  6. Validate the inventory containers have the same amount as at the start.
  7. Repeat the process again with the second client and select the "Destroy" option.
  8. Exit out of the dispensing screen.
  9. Navigate to the "Agency > Inventory Management > Container Management > Container Transactions".
  10. Select each inventory containers used for the destroys and returns.
  11. Validate the "spilled doses" client shows the transaction type "Spill".
  12. Validate the "destroyed doses" client shows the transaction type "Destroy".
Scenario 5: MultiMed Dispensing Film -Pre-Pours - Validation Of Three Medication Sizes Functions
Specific Setup:
  • Three tablet/film containers are to be mounted.
  • A client that needs to be Pre-Poured that will use inventory from each of the containers.
Steps
  1. Navigate to "Taskbar > Attendance Check In/Out > Check In/Out > Front Desk NX".
  2. Note the starting container number amounts.
  3. Select the client that will be dispensed.
  4. Pre-Pour the client in the precondition.
  5. Validate a dialog displays indicating the amounts to hand out for each container.
  6. Validate the container number amounts decrease appropriately based off Film amounts dispensed.
  7. Navigate to "Agency > Inventory Management > Container Management > Container Transactions"
  8. Select each container that was indicated in the sizes used.
  9. Validate client has a corresponding entry in the container with the amounts poured.
  10. Repeat the process above for each of the mg amounts in the precondition.
Scenario 6: MultiMed Unassigned Dosing Film - Validation Unassigned Dosing Of Three Medication Sizes Functions
Specific Setup:
  • A client will exist that will need to be dispensed from "3" containers.
  • A client will exist that will need to be dispensed from "2" containers.
  • A client will exist that will need to be dispensed from "1" containers.
  • The 3 containers for the medication are mounted.
  • The "Bulk Prepour" feature is enabled.
Steps
  1. Navigate to "Taskbar > Attendance Check In/Out > Check In/Out > Front Desk NX".
  2. Select the "Dispense" button.
  3. Note the starting amounts on the medication containers.
  4. Select the "Unassigned Dose" tab.
  5. Fill the search out for the date and program for medication.
  6. Set the dose to the amount that will use "3" containers.
  7. Validate the amounts given out are as close to full Film Strips as possible.
  8. Select the "Inventory" tab.
  9. Validate the containers deducted the amount.
  10. Validate the amount displays on the "Medication Dispensing" form.
  11. Exit dispensing.
  12. Navigate to "Agency > Inventory Management > Container Management > Container Transactions".
  13. Select each container.
  14. Valid the "Transaction Type" for the line is “Poured Unassigned Dose”.
  15. Validate the amount is accurate.
  16. Validate the "Transaction Direction" is "-1".
  17. Repeat the steps for the client that will use two containers.
  18. Repeat the steps for the client that will use one container.

Scenario 1: Validate When Client Is Transferred to Another Facility but Still Has an Active Medication Dispense, Can Dispense in New Facility
Specific Setup:
  • Logged in staff setup for dispensing.
  • Staff can dispense from other Facilities.
  • Multi-facility dosing is disabled.
  • Program setup for dispensing in two Facilities.
Steps
  1. Navigate to "Client > Client Information > Health Information > Medications".
  2. Create a new Client, enrolling them in the Dispensing program on a past date (e.g., 2 days ago).
  3. Create a med order for that date (e.g., 2 days ago).
  4. Navigate to "Taskbar > Attendance Check In/Out > Check In/Out > Front Desk NX".
  5. Click Dispense.
  6. Mount required container and search for Client.
  7. Validate Client displays.
  8. Dispense the first dose for the Client.
  9. Navigate to "Client > Client Information > Critical Information > Enrollment Information".
  10. Transfer the client to a different facility where that program exists on the following date (e.g., 1 day ago).
  11. Navigate to "Client > Client Information > Health Information > Medications".
  12. Create a medication order for that date (e.g., 1 days ago).
  13. This will automatically end the existing 1st med order.
  14. Navigate to "Taskbar > Attendance Check In/Out > Check In/Out > Front Desk NX".
  15. Click "Dispense".
  16. Search for Client.
  17. Validate Client displays.
  18. Try to dispense this Client. Confirm Client displays but Dispense is not available.
  19. Navigate to "Agency Setup > Other Setups > Turnstiles > Turnstiles Setup".
  20. Switch logged in user's turnstile to the Client's new Facility.
  21. Navigate to "Taskbar > Attendance Check In/Out > Check In/Out > Front Desk NX".
  22. Click Dispense.
  23. Search for Client.
  24. Validate Client appears.
  25. Attempt to dispense this Client. Confirm Client AND the "Dispense" button display and medication can be dispensed.
