TheraOffice PE: Telehealth
Description:
Over the last few months of the COVID-19 crisis, telehealth has become an increasingly popular-and paid for-option in patient care. But, until now, you needed a secondary software to actually perform telehealth services.
With the introduction of TheraOffice PE: Telehealth, you can now run telehealth sessions directly through TheraOffice, meaning there's no new software to learn and manage. And, since the platform runs through TheraOffice, you get a whole lot more than just a video service.

TheraOffice Web Users
How it works:
The above image shows an Appointment Type set with a Telehealth Visit Type.
1. All sessions start on the schedule. When you set an appointment with an Evisit or Telehealth Visit Type, those appointments on the schedule will also create Telehealth sessions.
Note: In order to schedule a patient for a telehealth session, they must have an email on file.
The image above showcases a sample of the email patients will receive.
2. Upon scheduling the Telehealth appointment, patients will receive an email inviting them to their telehealth session. This email includes: when the appointment is scheduled for, the name of the provider they are scheduled with, the contact information for your clinic, and links to start the session and test their device for a camera and microphone. If the patient is using G-Mail, this email also comes with the option to add the appointment to their Google calendar.
3. When it is time for the appointment, the patient will select "Start Appointment." This will open their internet browser and start the session.
The above image shows the check in screen which patients will see whilst checking in their appointment.
4. Upon starting the session, patients will check themselves in. At this juncture, if a copay is due and your clinic is utilizing TheraOffice Pay, patients can process the payment for their copay due using the card on file. This will not only process the payment, but also auto-apply it to the patient's TheraOffice file.
The image above represents the text message which the provider receives.
5. After the patient has checked themselves in, the provider will receive a text message indicating that the patient has checked in.
The image above showcases how to start the telehealth session from the Schedule.
6. To start the session from TheraOffice, the provider will then right-click the appointment on the schedule and select "Start Telehealth Session."
The image above shows a telehealth session where the provider (lower left) is on a desktop and the patient (large center) is using an iPhone.
7. This will then open the telehealth session with the patient. This session includes both audio and visual, and is real time between the patient and provider. The perspective of the screen will depend on the perspective of the device (for example, mobile phones will produce a more narrow frame, while laptops or desktops will be a wider view). You can choose whether to use front or back facing cameras when providing care.
The above image shows the "Session Completed" screen.
8. Finally, when the session is complete, the provider or patient selects "Leave Session." Since a document organizer was created when the patient first joined the session, the provider can then document on the visit.
