Description:
When trying to create a new case for a patient, the following error occurs.
"There was an error creating a new case. Please try again and if the problem persists contact technical support."
Steps:
This error is because there is no Primary Facility selected in the patient's Patient information Window. When there is no facility selected, there is an error creating a case because there is not a default place of service entered into the case information. To resolve this error, open up Patient Information window and select a facility in the Primary Facility Drop down.
1. On the Toolbar in the Patient Navigator select the Patient Information button.

2. Navigate to the General button and then select a Primary Facility for the patient. When a facility is selected press Save & Close to save the changes.

3. On the toolbar click the New Case button. This will create a new case for the patient.
