Lock a case

Locking the case will prevent future items from being added to the case from TheraOffice Documentation and denotes that treatment has been completed. The case properties will still remain editable from TheraOffice Accounting and TheraOffice Accounting will allow charges and payments to be edited.

To Lock a Case:

1. Open desired patient to open the Patient Navigator screen.
2. On the top of the Patient Navigator, click on Full Chart. The Full Chart for the patient will appear along with the Lock Item button.

3. Click on the case that needs to be locked and click on the Lock Case button. The Lock Case window will appear.

Archive Tasks: It may be helpful to set a task in TheraOffice Documentation and TheraOffice Accounting for one person to review the case at a later date to determine if the patient needs to be archived or not. If so checking the appropriate checkbox and selecting a user to receive the task will create a task for that user and remind them on the Task Reminder Date. NOTE: The task reminder defaults at 4 months from original set date to allow time for insurance processing. (See the Archive section in the Administrator manual for further information.)

Primary Unlocked Case: New Primary Case can be selected from the dropdown. This is when there are multiple cases and a new primary unlock case needs to be assigned.

5. Click the Lockbutton when done.
