Issue

A user receives the following error message when trying to open a Microsoft Word merge document or when clicking a button that has baShell on it and is trying to connect to Microsoft Word.

Windows cannot find 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE\Windword.exe'

Solution

Make sure you typed the document name correctly, then try again. The message indicates the TIER application cannot find Microsoft Word. It may be installed in a different directory or not installed at all. Install or reinstall Microsoft Word and try again.
