UpdateScheduler replacement program
Overview
The TIER Product Team has released an update which replaces the need to use the UpdateScheduler program. The UpdateScheduler program was utilized to update group cycles within the TIER scheduler.
Details
This replacement removes the need to use the UpdateScheduler.exe to update group cycle information in the scheduler. After completing this update, the resources associated with groups (staff and clients) will be updated in real time based on the start and end date of enrollment within the group cycles.
This update addresses the following items when using the Update Scheduler program:
- Group appointments past their individual end date showing on the resources calendar
- Being able to modify the group cycle by adding resources when the Update Scheduler program is running
- Multiple appointments for the same resource being created due to an incomplete clearing of tables associated with the Update Scheduler program
- Setting the interval of the Update Scheduler program appropriately based on the number of resources
- Appointments remaining on the scheduler for an individual once they are discharged from the agency
This update will be required to be run off hours as resources (clients and staff) should not be created during the update. The estimated time for update is less than two hours, which includes testing.
In order to utilize this update, you must evaluate custom triggers on the group cycles, group clients, and group staff prior to implementing this update as the triggers associated with adding, deleting, and updating resources on the group cycles are replaced during this process.
