Tracking Changes to Stored Procedures
Overview
Track the changes made to stored procedures, such as the date changes were made and by whom.
Details
Say you just created a stored procedure and another developer made changes to the procedure without consulting you. How do you keep track of those changes?
One way you could track changes is to add comments within the stored procedure that include the name or initials of the person who made the changes, a description of the changes, and the date the changes were made. See the following example.

You can always check Sys.Objects within SQL to find out the last time a stored procedure or other objects were modified. While this information will not tell you what was changed or who changed it, you can at least see when a change was made.
