Post an Insurance Payment to a Chargeslip

Troubleshoot how to determine where to locate the chargeslip for a manual insurance payment.
Details
Problem: The chargeslip expected to be seen was not present after completing the Payment Information and validating the selected client, even after clicking the Refresh button.

Solution: Use the chart below to aid in troubleshooting the possible solutions.
| Possible Cause | Possible Solutions |

If the chargeslip's balance is equal to or less than zero, it will not appear in a payment batch if the Zero Bal/Adj. check box, under the Client name, is not checked. |
Assuming the payment transaction should still be posted to the chargeslip, select the Zero Bal/Adj. check box and click the Refresh button. |
| In order for a chargeslip to appear in the Insurance Payment, it must have previously been included in a Batch Billing for the same payor plan. |
If the chargeslip was not previously included in a Batch Billing process, consider taking this action: Include the charge(s) in a new or re-bill waterfall Batch as appropriate. Then, |
| The incorrect payor or payor plan on the Payment Information tab was selected. |
Verify the Payor information on the chargeslip. Return to the Payment Information section and correct the payor and/or payor plan. Return to the Allocate Payments section and click the Refresh button again. |
