Make the Invisibles Tab visible

Overview

Turn on the Invisibles tab in the TIER WFS.

Details

Invisibles are controls on a TIER form that are hidden to regular, everyday users. These controls store data to the tables but don’t require user input and, therefore, are not displayed to the user. They include items such as clientkey, program key, doc_id and so on. There are times during troubleshooting when you may need to display the invisible items on a form. For TIER Workflow clients, there is an Invisibles tab on most forms (named TabVisibles). This entire tab is invisible to regular users and makes for a convenient storage place for 'invisible' controls. To turn on and off all of the tabs named TabVisibles in your workflow system, follow the instructions below.

Note: To display the Invisibles tab for just one form in your production system, see Display Invisibles for One Form.

Steps

1. Log in to TIER so that the TreeView is visible.
2. Right-click on Configuration and click Properties.
3. Click the Options tab.
4. Double-click to open the Application item on the listview.
5. When the application Options window appears, change the Invisibles Option Value from Off to On and click Save.

Note: Unless manually changed on each form, this action makes the Invisibles tab visible on all forms for all users in TIER.
