Install Medi-Span Data

Path: Administration> File > Install Medi-Span Data

Prerequisites: To install Medi-Span, you must have System Administrator rights.

The Medi-Span installation must be performed on the application server using the application client. You can use the Medi-Span physical media or receive the Medi-Span database via internet. For more information about electronic distribution, visit the Medi-Span website.

1. Ensure the initial Field Mode synchronization is provided before installing Medi-Span data.
2. Locate the downloaded Medi-Span data on your computer.
3. Go to Administration> File > Install Medi-Span Data.
   1. Note: A Warning window displays for ACE Rules. Medi-Span installation could cause an increase in ACE reactions depending on your configuration. Select Yes to continue or No to cancel the installation.
4. If you chose to continue, navigate to the folder containing the Medi-Span files, and click OK.
5. Click Install.
6. Click Next.
7. Click to select either:
   1. All Medication Information to install all Medi-Span medication information. OR
   2. Route Information to only install medication route information.
8. Click Preview to preview the information you are going to install.
9. Click Apply to install the selected information.
