Diagnosis Groups window
Path: Administration>Clinical>Diagnosis Groups
Diagnoses groups are specific categories of diagnosis codes (for example, cardiovascular disorders, diseases of the respiratory system, neoplasms, and so on). Diagnoses groups are used in patient statistics, revenue and expense analysis reporting.
With the Diagnosis Groups window, you can view ICD-9 and ICD-10 diagnoses groups. ICD-9 groups are shown if they were defined prior to 9.0 release. ICD-10 groups are taken from the third-party unified Allscripts Terminology Platform that is always up to date. To view the subgroups and diagnoses, click the plus sign next to the needed tree items to expand and navigate through the items.
Note: Only the first level of diagnoses groups hierarchy is considered for the reporting purposes, for example, [A00-B99], [C00-D49], and so on.
