Patient Day Count report - Preview tab

Path: Reports>Financial>Patient Day Count

Prerequisites: 

  • To view this report, the operator must have access enabled (in Administration > Configuration > Operators > [Select an operator] > Privileges: Hospice tab > Reports > Financial).
  • To open the Patient Day Count Report, you must install the Netsmart Homecare Reporting Core Components.
     

The layout of the report depends on the values that are specified on the Define tab.

The following table describes the generated report.

Field Description

Status

The state of the patient's hospice care, for example Admitted or Discharged.

Insurance Code

 

The patient's insurance carrier.

Pay Control Pointer

The patient's insurance type.

Branch

The location of the facility where the patient is located. Branches are specified in Administration > Configuration > Business Units > Branches.

Class

The business unit.

Acuity

The level or severity of nursing care provided to the patient.

Start Count Date

The date on which the patient's hospice services begin.

Days

The number of days a patient has been in active hospice care as of the Start Count Date.

End Count Date

The date on which the patient's hospice services end.

 

Days

The number of days a patient has been in active hospice care as of the End Count Date. For example, if the Start Count Date is set to January 1, 2016 and the End Count Date is set to January 31, 2016, a patient who began receiving hospice services on November 16, 2015, would have 47 days in hospice care on January 1 and 77 days in hospice on January 31.
