Verifying Scheduled Events window
Prerequisite: To verify visits, you must be granted the Can Verify Events privilege by the administrator.
You can open the Verifying Scheduled Events window by clicking the Verify button in the lower-right corner of the Schedule component.
- In this window, you can verify that a scheduled event took place.
- You must verify patient visits so that the application can convert the services performed and supplies provided into billable services.
The Code, Branch, Date, Start Time, End Time, Duration, Indirect Time, Travel Time, Petty Cash, Mileage, and Verify columns in the Verifying Scheduled Events window are editable so that you can modify visits directly in this window before verifying them.
- The Patient (or Resource) column includes an asterisk (*) after the name if the visit has the attached visit note (entered in the event window). The visit note appears as a tip text when pointing at the name.
This verification method is not available for visits that require clinical documentation in Field and Host Modes; the OK button in the Verifying Scheduled Events window is not active preventing you from verifying events through this window.
- In this case, you can verify visits using TimeLog. Although both Verifying Scheduled Events and TimeLog can be used to verify visits, TimeLog is more appropriate for visits with clinical documentation requirements.
- Verifying Scheduled Events is primarily intended for managed personnel such as Home Health Aides who submit day sheets on paper.
When the Verifying Scheduled Events window detects a conflict between two visits, it shows the visit times in red and a message in the bottom panel of the window: "Warning: Resource/Patient Conflict Detected."
- You cannot save any changes until all conflicts are resolved by entering new start and end times for the conflicting visits.
