Track NOE filing date

Path: Patient > General > Admissions & Status

  1. In the Patient component, select a patient.
  2. Go to General > Admissions & Status, and then select the appropriate admission.
  3. Open the NOE Information tab.
    1. Note: If the NOE Information tab is absent, the effective date for tracking the NOE filing date is still to come or is not defined in Administration > Configuration > Business Units > Settings > Administration, or the Track Notice of Election Filing Date option is not selected for at least one patient's payer in Administration > Financial > Insurance Codes > Per Diem.
  4. In the Pay Source column, select the appropriate patient's payer from the drop-down list.
    1. Note: Only patient's payers that have the Track Notice of Election Filing Date option selected in Administration > Financial >Insurance Codes > Per Diem are available for selection.
  5. In the Type column, select the appropriate notice type from the drop-down list.
  6. In the Date Filed column, enter the date of filing notice with the insurance.
  7. (Optional) In the Date Received column, enter the date when insurance received notice.
  8. (Optional) In the Transmission Method column, select the method by which the notice was transmitted.
  9. (Optional) In the Tracking Number column, enter the number by which you can track notice transmission, if applicable.
  10. Save your changes.
