View a referral from Netsmart Referral Management
When a patient is created from an Netsmart Referral Management referral, Netsmart Homecare makes it easy for clinicians and other operators to view the complete referral that was originally used to create that patient.
- View a patient referral from the Admissions & Status window by performing the following steps:
- In the Patient component, select a patient that was created from an Netsmart Referral Management referral.
- Open the Admissions & Status window (Patient>General).
- The View Referral link is present if the selected patient was originally created from the Netsmart Referral Management and the operator has permission to view referrals. If you expect to see a link and it does not appear, see Troubleshoot View Referral link.
- Click the View Referral link.
- View a patient referral from the Inbound HL7 Message Processing window by performing the following steps:
- Go to Interface>HL7>Inbound HL7 Message Processing.
- Select an inbound message that was sent from an Netsmart Referral Management and double-click the message or click the Edit Message button.
- In the Edit HL7 Message Data window, click View Referral.
- View a patient referral from the list of unprocessed inbound messages (Interface>Receive Messages>Patient Messages); attached inbound messages (Host and Field Modes) (Patient>Documents>Inbound Patient Messages); and deleted inbound messages (Interface>Receive Messages>Deleted Patient Messages).
- Depending on how the Netsmart Referral Management credentials have been configured, select one of the three events:
- Successfully launch out to the patient's referral in Netsmart Referral Management – Credentials stored in the Netsmart Homecare Password Vault are correct.
- Launch out to the Netsmart Referral Management login page – Credentials stored in the Netsmart Homecare Password Vault are invalid or no credentials are present and you have selected to no longer be prompted to store your credentials in Password Vault.
- Prompt to store your Netsmart Referral Management credentials – No Netsmart Referral Management credentials are stored in the Netsmart Homecare Password Vault. A dialog prompts you to store these credentials.
To log in to Netsmart Referral Management without storing credentials in the Netsmart Homecare Password Vault, click No. The Netsmart Referral Management login page opens.
To store your Netsmart Referral Management credentials, click Yes. The Password Vault dialog opens with the Netsmart Referral Management tab active.
Enter your User Name and Password as in Netsmart Referral Management to successfully view the patient's referral without first logging in. Once you have entered your credentials, click OK to continue on to Netsmart Referral Management.
