Sign documents in Physician Portal
In the Physician Portal for Netsmart Homecare, you can sign documents for your patients or for patients of members of your group practice.
- Select the Sign Documents ([number of orders selected for signature]) tab
Result: Documents selected for signature display. - Optional. Select the Edit link next to a document to edit the document.
- For the Password for electronic signature, enter your secondary password.
- Select Sign.
Result: The signed document with your notes added is sent to the agency. - Select the Preview Signed Documents link within the session before you sign your next documents to preview and print the signed document with your changes applied.
Note: The message 'Discipline is not defined for operator 'xxx' may appear after selecting Sign. To avoid this and to sign the documents successfully, select the Discipline for Physician Clinical Notes checkbox in Administration > Clinical > Disciplines for the needed discipline of the resource type.
Work with group practice documents
- Choose the Select Patients tab.
- Using the View dropdown list (which is My Patients by default), select a group practice.
Result: All patients that belong to the members of the selected group practice are listed. - Review, sign, or reject the group practice documents following the same procedures as for your documents.
