Inbound Messages - Automatic Processing
Automatic Messages Processing
Note: The automatic messages processing is based on the configuration options defined during the first interface setup.
Automatic Attachment of Messages
When receiving the inbound patient message for a patient that is active and unique in the system, the message can be automatically attached to that patient if it contains correct information and is configured to be automatically attached. The system automatically searches for a patient based on the search criteria that are defined in the inbound message configuration and if one active patient matches the search criteria, the message is automatically attached to that patient. If more than one patient matches the search criteria, then the message goes to the unprocessed messages list.
The following search criteria can be defined in the inbound message configuration for the automatic patient search:

Automatic Prospect Patient Creation

|
> |
|
> |
|
> |
Patient's prospective status code with A - Initial Admission type. If status code is missing in the message or is incorrect, then the status code from the Define General Settings Window is used. |
|
> |
Initial status date. If the date in the message is missing or incorrect, then the date when a message was received is the default date. |
Automatic Prospect Creation for Existing Patient
When receiving the inbound patient message for the patient that is inactive, the Link Inbound functionality can automatically create a new prospect tab in the Admissions & Status window if the message contains the following required information:
|
> |
Patient's prospective status code with A - Initial Admission or X - Readmission type. If status code is not present in the message or is incorrect, then the status code from the Define General Settings Window is used. |
