Immunizations

Immunizations window

Path: Patient > Clinical > Immunizations

Use the Immunizations window in Patient > Clinical, to add immunization data to the patient record.

Entering immunizations

You must have Read/Write level permissions for the Immunizations (Patient) privilege in Administration > Configuration > Operators > Privileges: (Business Unit) > Patient > Clinical to enter vaccines for a patient.

1.

From the Patient component, select the applicable patient.

2.

Go to Clinical > Immunizations.

3.

Click the Insert Row or Add Row icon to add a new line.

4.

From Vaccines, select the applicable vaccine.

The Vaccines list includes the entries activated in Administration > Clinical > Immunizations.

You must select a vaccine before the other boxes on Immunizations are enabled.

From Status, select 1 of the following options:

Given - Select to enter a vaccination that has been administered. If you select Given, go to step 7.

>

Not Given - Select to document a vaccination that was not administered. If you select Not Given, go to step 6.

For Not Given Reason, select a reason the applicable vaccination was not administered to the patient.

Not Given Reason is not enabled if you selected Given for Status.

Go to step 9.

7.

For Date of Administration, enter or select a date that the vaccine was given to the patient.

You can select or enter an exact date, such as November 11, 2015, or you can enter a fuzzy date, such as November or 2015.

Date of Administration is not enabled if you selected Not Given for Status.

8.

For Locale, select the type of facility or agency where the vaccine was administered to the patient.

Locale is not enabled if you selected Not Given for Status.

9.

Optional: In Comments, enter any additional information about the vaccination.

Reported by is filled in automatically with the currently logged in user and the current date.

10.

Click the disk icon to save the immunization entry.

Editing immunizations

You must have Read/Write level permissions for the Immunizations (Patient) privilege in Administration > Configuration > Operators > Privileges: (Business Unit) > Patient > Clinicalto edit immunizations for a patient.

1.

From the Patient component, select the applicable patient.

2.

Go to Clinical > Immunizations.

3.

From Immunizations, select the row containing the immunization you want to edit.

4.

Make changes as needed.

5.

Click the disk icon to save the immunization entry.

Deleting immunizations

You must have Read/Write level permissions for the Immunizations (Patient) privilege in Administration > Configuration > Operators > Privileges: (Business Unit) > Patient > Clinicalto delete immunizations for a patient.

1.

From the Patient component, select the applicable patient.

2.

Go to Clinical > Immunizations.

3.

From Immunizations, select the row containing the immunization you want to delete.

4.

Click the Delete Row icon.

5.

Click the disk icon to save the changes.
