Field and host mode synchronization conflict management

After synchronization, some data conflicts may occur.

For example, Field and Host Mode users may work simultaneously on the same data or the Host Mode user may change the record on the server after the Field Mode user downloaded data to the laptop.

The examples of conflicts include duplicates of medications, planned visits, goals and interventions, diagnoses, status changes, admission and discharge dates, visit conflicts (for example, billable visit was entered for the date when a patient is inactive), duplicate OASIS assessments, new patient entries, and so on.

All conflicts are resolved automatically by the application. Depending on the situation, Field or Host Mode changes are applied.

All the conflicts and their resolution details are logged in the Conflict History report (Reports>Field Use). Make sure that you review the logs and, if needed, manually resolve conflicts as appropriate.
