Void and replace closed episodic claims

Path: Transactions>General>Episodic Claims Void and Replace

  1. Go to Transactions>General>Episodic Claims Void and Replace.
  2. Select the patient for whom you want to generate voids and/or replacements.
  3. Select the claim for which you want to generate a void and a replacement or just a replacement.
  4. Select one of the check boxes next to the needed claims:
    1. Void/Replace – To create a void and a replacement claim with the reason to report a financial change: HIPPS (HHRG for EPS), additional services causing LUPA, or regenerating RAP (Interim for EPS) claim. The system generates a void to cancel the original claim.
    2. Replace Only – To create only a replacement claim for the PPS Final claims with the reason to report changes that do not require claim recalculation (such as additional services or correction to patient information). The AR is not affected by this option.
  5. Click Process.

After generating voids and/or replacements, the claims are assigned to the next available cycle as defined for the pay source.
