Pay Rates Window

Path: Pay Rates Calculator>Settings>Pay Rates

With the Pay Rates window, you can define pay rates for the employees in Netsmart Homecare.

The pay rates defined in this window appear in Resource>General>Pay Rates Calculator Settings and Resource>General>Negotiated Pay Rates.

The Pay Rates window consists of two sections. The left section contains the list of pay rates (for example, pay rate for the on call visit, for holidays and weekends visits, different staff meetings, and so on). The right section of the Pay Rates window contains detailed settings for the selected pay rate. The code and description changes made in the right section are displayed in the left section.

This window contains the following fields:

Code

Enter the pay rate code in this field.

Description

Enter the description of the pay rate in this field.

Show Inactive

Select this check box to view active and inactive pay rates in the grid.

Effective Date

Enter the date this pay rate takes effect or select it from the drop-down calendar.

Branch

Select the branch to which you want to apply this pay rate.

Amount

Enter the amount of money for this pay rate in this column.

Basis

Enter the basis for the pay rate amount entered in the Amount column or select it from the drop-down list. You can select from the following options:

V – Select this basis type to calculate pay rates for the resource per visit.

>

H – Select this basis type to calculate pay rates for the resource per hour.

>

T – Select this basis type to calculate pay rates for the resource by entering detailed tiered level for the selected rate in the Tiered Pay Rate Definitions dialog.

E.T.

Edit tiered rate for the selected resource. This option is available only if the T (Tiered) basis was selected in the Basis field.

When you click E.T., the Tiered Pay Rate Definitions dialog appears where you can enter detailed tiered pay level for the selected rate.

End Date

Enter the end date for this pay rate or select it from the drop-down calendar.

Holiday

This tab displays the pay rate amount paid on holidays. Enter the needed value in the Amount field. If the tiered pay rate was selected in the Basis field, the Edit Tiered Rates button becomes available. Click this button to edit tiered pay rate in the Tiered Pay Rate Definitions window.

Weekend

This tab displays the pay rate amount paid on weekends. Enter the needed value in the Amount field. If the tiered pay rate was selected in the Basis field, the Edit Tiered Rates button becomes available. Click this button to edit tiered pay rate in the Tiered Pay Rate Definitions window.

Shifts

This tab displays the pay rate amount paid according to the selected shift.

Period – Displays the name of the shift.

>

Start Time – Displays the start time of the shift.

>

End Time – Displays the end time of the shift.

>

Rate – Displays the rate for the selected shift. Enter the needed value in this column.

>

Basis – Displays the basis for the selected rate.

>

E.T. – Allows you to edit tiered pay rate for the selected shifts. This option is available only if the T (Tiered) basis was selected in the Basis field.

Note: The shifts displayed on this tab are defined in Pay Rates Calculator>Settings>Shifts.

 

Adding Pay Rates

1.

Go to Pay Rates Calculator>Settings>Pay Rates.

2.

Add a row.

3.

Enter the values in the grid as appropriate.

4.

Save your changes.
